About Us

Brooklyn. Born & Raised.

James S. York

James is an entrepreneur, consultant and mentor experienced across the full stack of a business’ lifecycle from digital marketing strategy and product development, to sales operations and relationship management, customer service and partnerships.

As an independent consultant, he’s helped startups and small businesses on both sides of the Atlantic to grow and scale by operationalizing systems, navigating the complexities of the digital marketing landscape and finding innovative ways to tackle challenging problems.

He holds a degree in International and Global Studies from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering Polytechnic Institute and is an avid systems thinker. After managing one of the highest profile public real estate portfolios in New York City, he found his way across the Atlantic to the small Nordic nation of Estonia where he discovered a booming tech scene that has been discreetly driving innovation on a global scale, incubating the likes of Skype, Fits.me, GrabCAD, Transferwise, e-Residency and many other game-changers in the world of technology and startups.

His professional life has afforded him the opportunity to work with shape-shifting robots, travel broadly, and work hand-in-hand with passionate founders and small business owners across a broad spectrum of sectors – from Virtual Reality to recruitment.

After years living abroad, he’s now based back home in NYC where he runs a digital marketing agency for growing businesses, focused on lead generation and consultancy services around marketing technology and automation. He’s passionate about helping small businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed in today’s digital world and often volunteers his time to help promote and foster greater business and social ties between the US and Europe.

He started his career in marketing in 2009 on “The Conversation”, a weekly television show broadcast on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network. Hosted by Judge Shannon Z. Upon returning from the tour, he began recording and broadcasting commercials on top radio stations Hot 97 and Power 105.1 as part of the Put A Chill On Violence campaign, effectively reaching over 70 million people along the East Coast.

In 2013, Anthony founded Ditmas Park Helpers to address a need in his community for high-quality, low-cost property maintenance services. Anthony has developed Ditmas Park Helpers, now known as, “DPH – Domestic Personal Helpers” from a neighborhood business into a company proudly serving clients throughout the tristate area.

Anthony also sits as the Corresponding Secretary for New York State Senator Jesse Hamilton’s Business and Economic Development Advisory Committee, where he identifies needs and services available for small businesses and works with experts in their related fields on legislative advocacy related to small businesses development.
